عَنْ أَبِيْ سَعِيْدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ , قَالَ : خَرَجَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيْ أَضْحًى أَوْ فِطْرٍ إِلَى المُصَلَّى ، ثُمَّ انْصَرَفَ ، فَوَعَظَ النَّاسَ ، وأَمَرَهُمْ بالصَّدَقَةِ ، فَقَالَ : أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ ، تَصَدَّقُوْا ، فَمَرَّ عَلَى النِّسَاءِ ، فَقَالَ : يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ ، تَصَدَّقْنَ ، فَإِنِّيْ رَأَيْتُكُنَّ أَكْثَرَ أَهْلِ النَّارِ
From Abu Said al-Khudri radliyallahu anhu, he said, "The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alaihi wa sallam came out to the place of prayer at the time of Eid al-Adha or Eid al-Fitr. Then he left. He then advised the people and ordered them to give Sadaqah. He then said, "O people, give Sadaqah." He then met the women. He then said, "O women, give Sadaqah. Indeed, I have seen you as the majority of the inhabitants of Hell."

عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : الرَّجُلُ فِيْ ظِلِّ صَدَقَتِهِ حَتَّى يُقْضَى بَيْنَ النَّاسِ
From Uqbah bin Amir radliyallahu anhu, he said, "The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "A person under the shade of his Sadaqah until there is a decision between people."

عَنْ أَبِيْ هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : مَا مِنْ يَوْمٍ يُصْبِحُ الْعِبَادُ فِيْهِ ، إِلَّا مَلَكَانِ يَنْزِلَانِ ، فَيَقُوْلُ أَحَدُهُمَا : اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ مُنْفِقًا خَلَفًا ، وَيَقُوْلُ الآخَرُ : اللَّهُمَّ أَعْطِ مُمْسِكًا تَلَفًا
From Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu, he said, "The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam said, "Not all servants of Allah enter the morning unless there are two angels who descend. One of the angels said, "O Allah, give compensation for those who spend their wealth (giving Sadaqah)." Another angel said, "O Allah, give destruction to those who keep their wealth (not giving Sadaqah)."
The above hadith explains that the advantage for the person who gives Sadaqah is that the angels will pray for him so that he can get his wealth that has been given to someone else (the treasure given to Sadaqah).

إِذَا مَاتَ الإنْسَانُ انْقَطَعَ عَنْهُ عَمَلُهُ إِلَّا مِنْ ثَلَاثَةٍ : إِلَّا مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ جَارِيَةٍ ، أَوْ عِلْمٍ يُنْتَفَعُ بِهِ ، أَوْ وَلَدٍ صَالِحٍ يَدْعُوْ لَهُ
If a person dies, then all the rewards of his actions are cut off except for three things: except from Sadaqah Jariyah, useful knowledge, righteous children who pray for him.
عَنْ أَبِيْ أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ , قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : أَرْبَعَةٌ تَجْرِي عَلَيْهِمْ أُجُوْرُهُمْ بَعْدَ المَوتِ : مُرَابِطٌ فِيْ سَبِيْلِ اللهِ ، وَمَنْ عَمِلَ عَمَلًا أُجْرِيَ لَهُ مِثْلُ مَا عَمِلَ ، وَرَجُلٌ تَصَدَّقَ بِصَدَقَةٍ فَأَجْرُهَا لَهُ مَا جَرَتْ ، وَرَجُلٌ تَرَكَ وَلدًا صَالِحًا فَهُوَ يَدْعُوْ لَهُ
From Abu Umamah al-Bahili radliyallahu anhu, he said, "The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "Four things whose reward continues to flow for them after death; people guard the borders (enemies) during war in the way of Allah, people who do a good deed and teach it to others he will continue to get rewarded as long as others do that good, people who give Sadaqah will continue to get Sadaqah reward, and someone has pious children who pray for him."
The two hadiths above explain that someone who gives Sadaqah Jariyah will continue to get rewarded.
