How Does Prophet Muhammad Perform Wudu? ~ Hi all readers! In this article, I will explain how the Prophet Muhammad performed Wudu. In the previous article, I explained some things about wudu. One of the functions is to cleanse some parts of the body as one of the conditions for performing several rituals in Islam, such as prayer and reading the Quran. In addition, actually, the Wudu is also peace the soul and mind.

As always, before I explain about "how does Prophet Muhammad perform Wudu?" I will quote some hadiths to explain this topic.

Hadith About Wudu of Prophet Muhammad

wudu hadith, how to perform ablution, hadith about wudu, hadith wudu, ablution in islam, wudu islam, hadith on wudu, hadith on ablution, describe how ablution is performed, wudu in islam, ablution islam, what is wudu in islam, hadith about ablution, ablution, how to do wudu, how did prophet muhammad do wudu, hadith on how to perform wudu, explain why ablution is performed, hadith ablution, perform ablution, wudu, ablution wudu, what is ablution in islam,

The hadith about wudu of Prophet Muhammad that I mean is as follows:

From Hamran, Uthman did wudu. He washed his palms three times. Then he rinsed, put a little water into his nose, and removed the water from his nose. Then he washed his face three times. Then he washed his right hand to the elbow three times. Then his left hand is like that (like his right hand). Then he rubbed his head. Then he washed his right foot until his ankles three times. Then his left leg like that. then he said, "I have seen the Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam do Wudu like my Wudu this." The hadith is narrated by al-Bukhari and Muslim.

From Ali radliyallahu anhu about the nature of Wudu of the Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi wa sallam. He said, "He (Prophet Muhammad) wiped his head once." The hadith was narrated by Abu Dawud.

From Abd Allah ibn Amr radliyallahu ahuma about the nature of Wudu. He said, "Then he (Prophet Muhammad) rubbed his head and put two index fingers into two ears and he rubbed the outside of his ears with two thumbs up." The hadith is narrated by Abu Dawud and an-Nasa'i.

There is one important thing that I want to say before I give you further explanation, that in fact the description of the way the Prophet Muhammad performed wudu does not only exist in the two hadiths above. Information about the methods he uses is in many hadiths. I quote the two hadiths above because I see these two hadiths explain the majority of the ways of his wudu. As for the other ways I will say in the next few articles, Allah willing.

How Does Prophet Muhammad Perform Wudu?

wudu hadith, how to perform ablution, hadith about wudu, hadith wudu, ablution in islam, wudu islam, hadith on wudu, hadith on ablution, describe how ablution is performed, wudu in islam, ablution islam, what is wudu in islam, hadith about ablution, ablution, how to do wudu, how did prophet muhammad do wudu, hadith on how to perform wudu, explain why ablution is performed, hadith ablution, perform ablution, wudu, ablution wudu, what is ablution in islam,

If we observe the two hadiths above, then at least we can conclude a number of things as follows;

  1. Washing two palms three times. The Prophet Muhammad did that before he gargled.
  2. Gargling, breathing a little water then removing it. This aims to clean the dirt in the two nostrils. I have read medical information that the conclusion is that this is also very useful for head health, especially for treating cold and headaches.
  3. Washing face three times.
  4. Washing right hand and left hand three times.
  5. Wiping head three times. Actually, the information in the hadith above explains that the number of swabs is only once. But if we examine the various hadiths that explain it, then we know that the ideal number is three times.
  6. Wiping two ears, both inside and outside.
  7. Washing two feet to ankles.

All readers! You need to know that the methods above are obligatory and some are recommended. The obligatory methods are;

  1. Washing face.
  2. Washing two hand.
  3. Wiping head.
  4. Washing two feet to ankles.

While the sunnah of wudu is as follows;

  1. Washing two palms
  2. Gargling, breathing a little water then removing it.
  3. Wiping two ears,

That is, methods that are obligatory are ways that must be done. Without it, the wudu is not valid. Whereas what is meant by obligatory means is better to do it. If it's not done then it doesn't matter.

There are actually the first hadith pieces that I explain. The full editor is as follows:

The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam then said, "Whoever has an wudu like this wudu, then he prays the two rak'ah sunnah, he does not speak to himself in the two rak'ah prayers, then his past and future sins are forgiven.”

That is a brief description of "how does Prophet Muhammad perform Wudu?". May be useful! Amen!

See you again in the next article!
