Specifically, there are five important things about marriage in Islam hadith which I will explain in this article. The five important things I mean are as follows:

Hadith About the Recommendation of Marriage in Islam

The first important thing about marriage in Islam hadith that I will explain now is hadith about the recommendation of marriage in Islam. I want you to understand that before you read more explanations in this article so that you understand that marriage is a recommendation in Islam.

The hadith about the recommendation of marriage in Islam is as follows:

From Ibn Mas'ud radliyallahu anhu, he said, "The messenger of Allah sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam said to us, "O young people, anyone of you who can have sex, then he must get married. Indeed it (marriage) is better able to keep eye sight and better able to maintain vital organs. Anyone who can't, then he must fast because it actually suppresses the desire to have sex."

If we understand the hadith above, we can conclude several things as follows:

  1. Getting married is a sunnah in Islam.
  2. Whoever can bear the cost of marriage, it is recommended that he get married.
  3. Getting married is one way to keep the view from bad things.
  4. Getting married is one way to maintain honor so as not to commit Zina.
  5. If a person is not able to bear the costs of marriage even though his sexual desire is very large, then he is recommended to fast.

There are four things that are included in the Sunnah of the Messengers of Allah: shyness, wearing perfume, Siwak, and getting married.

If we understand the hadith above, we can conclude several things as follows:

  1. Getting married is a sunnah in Islam.
  2. Getting married is one of the sunnah of Allah's Messengers.
That is a brief explanation of hadith about the recommendation of marriage in Islam. As Muslims, we must understand that.

Hadith About Marrying a Girl in Islam

The second important point about marriage in Islam hadith that I will explain now is hadith about marrying a girl in Islam. I want you to understand that now so that you understand the legality of marrying a girl in Islam.

The hadith about marrying a girl in Islam is as follows:

"I once married a woman at the time of the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam. Then I met the Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam, he asked, "O Jabir, are you married?" He replied, "Yes, it is." "Are you marrying a girl or a widow?" asked the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam. I answered, "Widow." The Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, "Why don't you just marry a girl, can't you have fun with her?" I replied, "O Messenger of Allah, I have several sisters. I was worried that if I married a virgin, she would be busy playing with my sisters. The Prophet sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam said, "That means your excuse. Remember, a woman is married because someone views her religion, wealth, and beauty. Choose a good religion, you will surely reap good luck."

If we understand the hadith above, we can conclude several things as follows:

  1. Getting married is a sunnah in Islam.
  2. Muslims who have never been married are encouraged to marry a girl rather than widow.

Three: the main reason why a woman is married is because of her religion, not because of her wealth and beauty.

That is a brief explanation of hadith about marrying a girl in Islam. As Muslims, we must understand that.

Hadith About Misyar Marriage in Islam

The third important thing about marriage in Islam hadith which I will explain now is hadith about Misyar marriage in Islam. I want you to understand that now so that you understand the legality of Misyar marriage in Islam.

The hadith about Misyar marriage is as follows:

From Aisha radliyallahu anha, she said, “Whenever Allah's Apostle intended to go on a journey, he used to draw lots among his wives and would take with him the one on whom the lot fell. He also used to fix for everyone of his wives a day and a night, but Sauda bint Zam’ah gave her day and night to Aisha, the wife of the Prophet intending thereby to please Allah's Apostle.”

If we understand the hadith above, we can conclude that the Misyar marriage is a marriage that is permissible in Islam.

That is a brief explanation of hadith about Misyar marriage in Islam. As Muslims, we must understand that.

Hadith About Muta Marriage in Islam

The fourth important thing about marriage in Islam hadith which I will explain now is hadith about Muta marriage in Islam. I want you to understand that now so that you understand the law of Muta marriage in Islam.

The hadith about Muta marriage in Islam is as follows:

From Salamah ibn al-Akwa' radliyallahu anhu, he said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alaihi wa sallam never allowed Muta marriage for three days in the year of the Authas war. Then he forbade it." The hadith is narrated by Muslim.

If we understand the hadith above, we can conclude several things as follows:

  1. Muta marriage was permitted in the early days of Islam.
  2. The majority of Islamic jurists are of the opinion that the marriage of Muta is haraam. The point is that Muta marriage is prohibited after it has been allowed.

That is a brief explanation of hadith about Muta marriage in Islam. As Muslims, we must understand that.

Hadith About Ash-Shighar Marriage in Islam

The fifth important thing about marriage in Islam hadith which I will explain now is hadith about ash-Shighar marriage in Islam. I want you to understand that now so that you understand the law of ash-Syghar marriage in Islam.

The hadith about ash-Shighar marriage in Islam is as follows:

From Nafi’ from Ibn Umar radliyallahu anhuma, he (Ibn Umar) said, "The Messenger of Allah sallallahu alayhi wa sallam has forbidden the marriage of ash-Shighar."

If we understand the hadith above, we can conclude that ash-Shighar marriage is strictly prohibited in Islam.
