If a Fly Falls Into a Drink, Is It Unclean?

Fly falls into a drink ~ Hi all of you! In this article, I will explain the status of the drink in which there are flies. We cannot deny the fact that flies are animals that we often encounter. In fact, so often, it often touches us and the things we have. The problem is then if it falls into a drink or gravy at home, does the drink or food sauce become unclean?

Before I answer the question above, I will present a hadith of the Prophet Muhammad that we can make as a specific answer.

Hadith About If a Fly Falls Into a Drink

The hadith fly falls into a drink that I mean is the hadith below;

عَنْ أَبِيْ هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : إِذَا وَقَعَ الذُّبَابُ فِيْ شَرَابِ أَحَدِكُمْ فَلْيَغْمِسْهُ ثُمَّ لْيَنْزَعْهُ فَإِنَّ فِيْ أَحَدِ جَنَاحَيْهِ دَاءٌ وَفِيْ الْأَخَرِ شِفَاءٌ . أَخْرَجَهٌ الْبُخَارِيُّ وَأَبُوْ دَاوُدَ

From Abu Hurairah radliyallaahu ‘anhu, he said, "Allah’s Messenger shallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam said, "If a fly falls into the drink of one of you, then he will dip it then lift it. Because in one wing there is a disease and in the other wing there is a medicine.” The hadith is narrated by al-Bukhari Abu Daud.

If we look at the hadith above, we will know a number of things as follows;

• It is possible to kill flies if they fall into our food or drink by dipping them into food or drinks.
• If the fly dies because it sinks into a liquid, it cannot make the liquid become unclean. The Prophet Muhammad's order to dip it was proof that it would die, especially if the object was hot. That is because the carcass that has no legal blood is sacred.
• The hadith is one of the scientific miracles of the Prophet Muhammad. In it he asserted, that there was a disease in one wing of the fly and there was a cure in the other wing. Modern medicine has established this truth using a microscope, that in the left wing of a fly there is a drug that cannot be cured with substances in the right wing.
• Obligation to treat diseases. People who are sick should not be resigned to the disease. He is obliged to try to recover from illness and give up his healing to Allah Ta'ala.

Surely the above information is very clear, that the fly is not unclean and the food or drink touched by flies may we eat or we drink with the mechanism that was conveyed by the Prophet Muhammad above.

To be honest, the hadith above and several other hadiths that show the existence of scientific miracles possessed by the Prophet Muhammad remind us of the word of Allah Ta'ala below;

وَمَا يَنطِقُ عَنِ ٱلۡهَوَىٰٓ ٣   إِنۡ هُوَ إِلَّا وَحۡيٞ يُوحَىٰ ٤

Nor does he speak out of desire [3] It is naught but revelation that is revealed [4]. (An-Najm [53]; 3-4).

That is, that what was said by the Prophet Muhammad was not sourced from lust, but originated from revelation!
