The Law of Sleep After Sex in Islam ~ Hi all readers! In this article, I will explain the law of sleep after sex in Islamic teachings. I once listened to a number of stories about my body condition that someone felt after he had sex. Someone will feel very tired. Maybe that's why sleep is one of the choices of most people. The problem is, "Can someone go to bed immediately, even though he hasn't done ablution or bathed?"
Before I answer the question above, I will quote a hadith that is specifically related to this topic. Pay attention!
Hadith About Sleep After Sex
The hadith about sleep after sex that I mean is as follows:
From Aisha radliyallaahu anha, she said, “The Messenger of Allah sallallaahu ‘alaihi wa sallam sleeps in the condition of the junub without touching the water first.” The hadith is narrated by four people (Abu Daud, at-Tirmidzi, an-Nasa'i, Ibn Majah).
All readers! If we already understand the hadith above, then we know, that the answer to the question above is "may". Yup! In Islamic teachings, a person may go to sleep immediately after he has sex, even though he hasn't performed ablution or shower.
The information is taken from the sentence, "without touching water first," in the hadith above. The word "water" in the hadith is water used for wudu or water used for bathing. But, if you have read the information that I have submitted in a number of previous articles, then you certainly know what's more important.
Okay! I will explain that. The most important thing is to take a bath, after that wudu, and the last one goes straight to sleep. The status of all of them is only an option, and each choice has its own value.
In fact, I once found a historical study that said that sometimes he had an ablution because he had been junub, sometimes he drank water in a standing position, sometimes he urinated in a standing position.
The status of the hadith above, according to Ahmad, is not a valid hadith (non-shahiih).
Now, after I give the brief information about sleep after sex in Islam, do you understand? The problem is simple and the explanation that I have conveyed is clear. So I hope you understand. But, if you want to ask, please!
I think that is enough for this article. May be useful! Amen!
See you again in the next article!
