Specifically, there are some important topics about hadith on Tahajjud prayer in English and Arabic which I will explain in this article. Some of the topics I am referring to are as follows:

Hadith on Recommendation of Performing Tahajjud Prayer

The first important thing about hadith on Tahajjud prayer in English and Arabic which I will explain now is hadith on recommendation of performing Tahajjud prayer. I want you to understand that first before you read more explanations in this article because it is one of the important things about Tahajjud prayer that must be well understood.

There are many hadiths on recommendation of performing Tahajjud prayer. Of course, I'm not going to quote them all now. In this article, I will only quote four hadiths.

As for the four hadiths on recommendation of performing Tahajjud prayer what I mean is as follows:

From Abdullah bin Mas'ud radliyallahu anhu, he actually said, "It has been narrated on the side of the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam, that there was a person who slept all night until morning. He then said, "Satan has urinated in both ears."

Allah's Messenger (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam said, "The best of people are servants of Allah, if he prays at night, after that he does not sleep at night except for a short time."

Allah's Messenger (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam said, "O people, spread Salaam, feed those in need, maintain family ties, pray at night when other people are sleeping, you will surely enter Paradise safely."

From Abdullah bin Amr bin Ash radliyallahu anhuma, he said, "The Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) said to me, "O Abdullah, do not be like a warlock who if he wakes up at night, he does not pray at night."

Those are some hadiths on recommendation of performing Tahajjud prayer. As Muslims, we must understand that.

Hadith on the Virtues of Tahajjud Prayer

The second important thing about hadith on Tahajjud prayer in English and Arabic which I will explain now is hadith on the virtues of Tahajjud prayer. I want you to understand that now because it's one of the most important things in this discussion that you should know well.

There are many hadiths about the virtues of Tahajjud prayer. Of course, I'm not going to quote them all now. In this article, I will only quote four hadiths.

As for the four hadiths on the virtues of Tahajjud prayer what I mean is as follows:

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu. He said, “Prophet Muhammad was asked, 'What is the best prayer after the Maktubah prayer (obligatory prayer) and what fast is the best after fasting in the month of Ramadan? the night and the most important fast after fasting during Ramadan is fasting during Allah's month, Muharam'." This hadith was narrated by Muslim.

It was narrated from Abu Umamah al-Bahili radliyallahu anhu, from the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam, he said, "Do Qiyamyul Lail (by doing Tahajud prayer) continuously, because it is the habit of the pious people before you. Qiyamul Lail (by doing Tahajjud prayer) is your worship to your Lord, removing various faults and preventing sins." This hadith was narrated by al-Hakim.

Allah's Messenger (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "Verily in Paradise there is a very high house whose outside can be seen from the inside and the inside can be seen from the outside." Abu Musa al-Ash'ari then asked, "For whom is it, O Messenger of Allah?". He replied, "For people who are kind in speech, feed others, and pray at night when people are sleeping."

From Sahal bin Sa'ad radliyallahu anhu, he said, "Jibril alaihi as-Salaam came to the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu alaiahi wa sallam. Jibril then said, "O Muhammad, live as you please because in fact you will die. Love the person you love because you will actually leave him. Do whatever you want because indeed you will get a reward." Then Gabriel said, "O Muhammad, the glory of a believer is praying at night and his strength is to refrain from asking people."

Those are some hadiths on the virtue of Tahajjud prayer. As Muslims, we must understand that.

Hadith on Tahajjud Prayer Dua

The third important thing about hadith on Tahajjud prayer in English and Arabic which I will explain now is hadith on Tahajjud prayer dua. I want you to understand that now because it is one of the important things in this article that must be well understood.

As for the hadith on Tahajjud prayer dua what I mean is as follows:

From Abu Hurairah radiyallahu anhu, that the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam said, "Our Lord (Allah) the Most Holy and Exalted descends into the world's sky every night, when the last third of the night remains. He said, “Whoever prays to Me, I will surely answer. Whoever asks of me, I will surely give. Whoever begs me for forgiveness, I will surely forgive him."

From Ibn Abbas radliyallahu anhuma, he said, "When the Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu alaihi wa sallam wakes up at night, he performs the Tahajjud prayer and prays, "O Allah, all praise be to You. You are the ruler of all the heavens and the earth and all the creatures in them. All praise to You. All the kingdoms of heaven and earth and everything in them are yours. All praise to You. You are the light of all heaven and earth. All praise to You. You are the True God. Your promise is true. Meeting You is true. Your word is true. Heaven is true. Hell is True. On the Prophet is true. Muhammad sallallaahu alayhi wa sallam is true. Doomsday is true. O Allah, only to You I surrender. Only in You I have faith. Only to You I put my trust. Only to You I represent. It's only because of you that I fight. And only to You I ask for justice. Forgive the sins I have committed and have not committed, the sins that I have committed secretly and openly. You are God who puts first and ends. There is no god but You."

Those are some hadiths on Tahajjud prayer dua. As Muslims, we must understand that.

Hadith on Sleeping Before Tahajjud Prayer

The fourth important thing about hadith on Tahajjud prayer in English and Arabic which I will explain now is hadith on sleeping before Tahajjud prayer. I want you to understand that now because it is one of the most important things about the Tahajjud prayer that must be well understood.

As for the hadith on sleeping before Tahajjud prayer what I mean is as follows:

Salman said to Abu Darda radliyallahu anhuma, "Go to sleep". At the end of the night he said, "Get up." The Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam said, "Salman is right."

From al-Aswad, he said, “I asked Aisha "How is the night prayer of the Prophet?" She replied, "He used to sleep early at night, and get up in its last part to pray, and then return to his bed. When the Mu'adh-dhin pronounced the Adhan, he would get up. If he was in need of a bath, he would take it; otherwise he would perform wudu and then go out (for the prayer)."

Those are some hadiths on sleeping before Tahajjud prayer. As Muslims, we must understand that.

Hadith on Rakats in Tahajjud Prayer

The fifth important thing about hadith on Tahajjud prayer in English and Arabic which I will explain now is hadith on Rakats in Tahajjud prayer. I want you to understand that now because it is one of the important things in this discussion that must be well understood.

There are many hadiths on Rakats in Tahajjud prayer. Of course, I'm not going to quote them all now. In this article, I will only quote four hadiths.

As for the hadith on Rakats in Tahajjud prayer what I mean is as follows:

Abdullah bin Umar radliyallahu anhuma said, "Someone asked Allah's Messenger (Prophet Muhammad), "How to do the night prayer?" He said, "Two rakats, two rakats. If you are worried that you will not be able to perform the Fajr prayer (because of that), then do the Witr prayer with one rakat."

From Ibn Abbas radliyallahu anhuma, he said, "The prayer of Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu 'alayhi wa sallam was thirteen rakats (meaning he prayed at night)."

From Masruq, he said, "I have asked Aisha radiyallahu anha about the prayer of the Messenger of Allah (Prophet Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam at night. She then said, "Seven (rakats), or nine (rakats), or eleven (rakats) apart from two rakats in Fajr prayer."

From Aisha radiyallahu anha, she said, "The Prophet (Muhammad) sallallahu alayhi wa sallam prayed at night as many as thirteen rakats of which were Witr prayer and two rakats in Fajr prayer."

Those are some hadiths on rakats in Tahajjud prayer. As Muslims, we must understand that.

All readers! That's the hadith on Tahajjud prayer in English and Arabic that I mean in this article. Do you understand? If you want to ask, please ask!

I think that's enough for this article. May be useful. Amen.

See you again in the next article!
